The Trainers
DR. MAURICE OKEYO

Dr. Okeyo has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics & Surveying Engineering, a Master’s in Project Planning and Management (MPPM) and Masters in Business Engineering (MBE). His PhD focuses on Monitoring and Evaluation of infrastructure projects. With 20 years of experience managing construction projects across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, his expertise covers geothermal power, hydropower, water transmission, seaports, airports, highways, and buildings. He is a Certified Trainer in Construction Contracts Administration and Dispute Resolution, a PMP-certified professional, and a contributor to research journals in construction management. Currently, he leads the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Unit for Power Generation Construction Projects at KenGen and also works as a private consultant and trainer in construction contracts and disputes.

ENG. SAM MAMBO

Eng. Mambo holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and an MSc in Highway Engineering from the University of Birmingham, with an MBA in progress at USIU. A registered Consulting Engineer with the EBK, Sam is a member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya (ACEK), Institution of Highways and Transportation (IHT – UK), and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
With over 40 years of experience, he has worked on feasibility studies, highway design, and project management with firms like East African Engineering Consultants and GIBB Africa Ltd. His latest role was as Deputy Chief Engineer in Guinea, overseeing infrastructure for a major iron ore mine.
